James was our real estate agent. Getting up before 5am during the week, he was always game to show us around (in our case Ramona and Escondido) and put a ton of work into lining up visits and making everything as seamless as possible. Having the seller's and buyer's broker get along also helps with a smooth transaction, and James seemed to manage that with every counterparty. He's easy to talk to during rides in his car from house to house, and he had a good eye when it came to checking out a property. His secondary contacts (Home Inspector, contractors, etc) were also consistently great.
Cara handled the financing side of our home purchase. We had broadly shopped around with banks, credit unions, and brokers, but Cara managed to just-about match or improve on their rates while being consistently responsive and extremely easy to work with. We really appreciated the document management and instructions HomePERQs provided during our search and financing -- every time something needed signing they were in touch beforehand with an explanation of what was happening and why, and they record great video walk-throughs of the more involved parts. At periods where we were waiting for processing behind the scenes, they still checked in regularly just to keep us in the loop. Both Cara and James rarely make you wait even 20 minutes for a reply to a text or email.
